After completing O & A Level art, it wasn’t until some years later that I discovered that painting and drawing is very therapeutic and a way to channel my emotions and switch off from the world.
Some of my early work is in pastel/charcoal and changed when I was recovering from an accident where I was laid up for some weeks and unable to get to my easel. I picked up an ink pen and started with basic doodles (now called zentangle designs) and gradually added acrylic colour.
I spent some years working and living abroad in Nigeria, Canary Islands, Germany, Bermuda & Tanzania, which is where some of my inspiration comes from.
Since living in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, I have completed three wall murals at a school, a local business anbd in a home, illustrated Post Postpartum Journey by Gabriella Ignacz, founded the Facebook Art Hub page which has over 300 local artists from Herts & Beds and still growing, organise pop up art exhibitions, install artwork by art hub members at the Hitchin Information office, organise regular art markets in Hitchin Market Square and still find time to accept commissions.
